SERVICES OF over 125 contractual conductors of UP State Roadways Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) in Allahabad region are likely to be terminated soon. An order to this effect has been issued by the UPSRTC headquarters, Lucknow recently.

It may be mentioned that a total of 130 conductors are currently working in Allahabad region. Now these conductors would be deprived of their jobs.
Sources said that the State Government wanted to terminate services of the contractual conductors and start fresh appointment process through private agencies.
The order has been received by the Allahabad regional office and the contractual conductors are likely lose their job within a week.
This decision has come as a big shock for the conductors and some of them are preparing to challenge the order in the court.
The Roadways Employees' Union has opposed the order and warned the authorities against playing with the livelihood of these conductors.
On the other hand, assistant regional managers of Mirzapur and Pratapgrah are being sent to Central Institute of Road Transport, Pune for training in order to improve the UPSRTC services. Deepak Chaudhary, ARM Pratapgrah, and Satyendra Verma of Mirzapur, would be imparted training at Pune.
