139 people cross LoC point in J&K

The crossings were deferred by a week last Monday. But of the 139 people, 76 travelled on the Poonch-Rawalkot bus to PoK, while 63 returned.

After a fortnight's gap, as many as 139 people travelled across the Line of Control along the Rawalkot-Poonch road to meet separated family members on either side.

"As many as 139 members of the divided families crossed via the Chakan-da-Bagh LoC point in Poonch district on Monday evening after a break of a fortnight," officials said.

The crossings were deferred by a week last Monday.

Of 139 people, 76 travelled on the Poonch-Rawalkot bus to Pakistan occupied Kashmir while 63 travelled back.

Out of the 63 civilians, 33 were visitors while the rest had returned after spending between a fortnight and a month in PoK.
