15 killed in anti-Shiite attack in Baghdad

Nine others were wounded in a car bomb attack followed by an ambush by gunmen in northeast Baghdad.

At least 15 employees of a Shiite religious body were killed and nine wounded by a car bomb attack followed by an ambush by gunmen in northeast Baghdad on Tuesday, a security official said.

The staff was in a bus heading towards the office of the Shiite religious endowment in central Baghdad when the car bomb exploded, the official said, adding that gunmen then riddled the vehicle with bullets.
