16 hurt in clash

SIXTEEN PERSONS were injured in a bloody clash between two groups over the contradictory allegations of eve teasing and acting as police informer in Beelakhedi village, about 40 km from the district headquarters, under Dharnavada police station area this morning.

SIXTEEN PERSONS were injured in a bloody clash between two groups over the contradictory allegations of eve teasing and acting as police informer in Beelakhedi village, about 40 km from the district headquarters, under Dharnavada police station area this morning. The two groups used fired guns, pelted stones and used sharp-edged weapons. All injured have been hospitalised.

SP Devprakash Gupta said Sarpanch Shyam Babu complained that he and 14 others were injured in an attack by the Pardi tribals. On the other hand, the Pardis alleged that Shayam Babu and his supporters attacked them, injured several persons.

Earlier, on Saturday evening, Chakori Bai Pardi of Beelakhedi-Chak had filed a complaint with police against Syam lal and another person, accusing them of trying to molest her.
