A 16-year-old girl was allegedly abducted by two persons and raped at Bhadeli village of Yamunangar district on the intervening night of October 1 and 2.
Police arrested the accused, Kaku and his accomplice Shauqat Ali, late on Wednesday night following a complaint from the girl’s family. In neighbouring Karnal district, police arrested a 22-year-old man from Gharaunda town on Wednesday night after his neighbour alleged he had raped and impregnated her about 10 weeks ago.
In the last three days, two minor girls were allegedly raped in Rohtak district, while a mentally challenged woman was sexually assaulted in adjoining Jind district.
In September, a 19-year-old newly-married woman was gang raped in Sonepat district and a teenaged Dalit girl was gang raped in Hisar district.
18-yr-old raped, filmed, exploited for 3 years
An 18-year-old girl in Rajasthan’s Sriganganagar district has accused her neighbour of sexually exploiting her for the past three years by threatening to make public a video of her rape.
In her complaint to the police on Wednesday, the girl said her neighbour called her to his house in 2009 and gave her a drink laced with sedatives. After she fainted, his brother raped her and he filmed the act. Police are yet to make any arrests in the case.
