Two NDFB militants were killed and two powerful improvised explosive devices seized in Assam on Sunday in the run-up to Republic Day celebrations.
The forces recovered a US-made pistol, two magazines and nine rounds of ammunition from the dead militant, sources said.

Train services in Assam have been suspended for three nights (January 24 to 26). Trains will not run from 8 pm to 6 am, with several long-distance ones rescheduled or terminated.
