What is shocking is that the entire incident happened in the presence of instructors and life guards but he couldn't be saved.

The incident occurred around 8.30am on Saturday. Ankit Jain was swimming in the pool but suddenly started drowning. Later, his body was fished out.

His family members have lodged a verbal complaint with the local police about negligence and the incident leading to their son's death.

"There has been negligence on part of the instructors who could have saved him from drowning. There were some claims that Ankit suffered from fits but these are baseless allegations. How can a person having medical complications be permitted to enter a swimming pool?" said Sukhmal Jain, the man's maternal-uncle.

Superintendent of police (SP) Shiv Shanker Yadav said it was the duty of the life guards and the instructors to keep a watch on people swimming in the pool.
