The man, originally from Orissa, had gone missing on October 31 and subsequently the case of kidnapping was registered with Sector 7 police station in Faridabad on November 13. The kidnapped man was identified as Anant Kumar. He was working in a private company in here and resided in Sector 9.

"We arrested four men from different places in the last 24 hours who confessed their involvement in kidnapping and murder of Anant Kumar," Ram Pal, SHO, Sector 7 police station said, adding, "The arrested men revealed that they killed him by hitting with an iron rod and dumped his body in Agra canal near Sector 31."

The four accused have been identified as Mangal Singh, Ajay Kumar, Vijay Malhotra and Rajesh. "They were produced in the court, which remanded them till November 19," Pal said, adding, "The main accused, Guddu, is absconding."

"Vijay and Ajay were close to Guddu, who works as contractor in the company in which Anant was also working. Both had some dispute on some petty issue so they all planned to kill Anant," police said.

The police has launched a massive search for Anant’s body in the canal but nothing could be traced till now.
