Three BJP leaders were on Wednesday arrested when they were on their way to Gorakhpur, police sources said.

Three BJP leaders were on Wednesday arrested when they were on their way to Gorakhpur, which has witnessed violence over the last few days, police sources said.

The three — former Union Minister Santosh Gangwar and party leaders Dharmendra Deo and Satyaprakash Ahluwalia — had been sent to Gorakhpur by the BJP Central leadership to take stock of the situation there.

They were arrested from the Vaishali Express, which was bound for Gorakhpur.
