3 chosen for Gavaskar-Border scholarship

The chosen three will visit the Australian Cricket Academy in Brisbane for a training stint Down Under.

Three youngsters have been chosen to visit the Australian Cricket Academy in Brisbane for a training sting Down Under as part of the Border-Gavaskar annual scholarship scheme.

The chosen three are Pinal Shah, a wicketkeeper-batsman from Baroda, Gaurav Dhiman, an all-rounder from Karnakata who can open and bowls medium pace, and Mumbai medium pacer Kshemal Waingankar, said Lalchand Rajput, Director (coaching) of the Bangalore-based National Cricket Academy, on Tuesday.

The trio, who would be in Australia for six weeks, were chosen by a three-member committee comprising NCA chairman Sunil Gavaskar, NCA director Shivlal Yadav and Rajput.
