With an aim to make the rally successful, the DCC activists have swung into action to mobilise masses.
As part of the programme, the Congress workers will take out a vehicular procession from the party office tomorrow. The procession will cover all parts of the city.
Talking to newsmen here on Friday, DCC president Mahesh Dixit said, “A vehicular procession will be taken out from the party office on Saturday. This procession will cover all parts of the city.”
He said that Union Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal would supervise all the activities.
The DCC has also planned to take out two more processions before Sonia Gandhi’s rally.
He said that the Congress workers would take out a cycle rally from Tilak Hall on Sunday. But, this procession would remain confined to northern areas of the city, he added.
“The cycle procession will cover the entire northern part and all the senior members of the party will take part in it,” Dixit said.
Besides, the DCC would take out a Rath Yatra, he added.
“A rathyatra will that start from the party office on Monday will cover the entire city and convey the message of Sonia Gandhi among the masses,” Dixit said.
The minority cell of the party would also take out a special rath on Saturday.
DCC president Pradeep Mishra flagged off a rathyatra on Friday from the party office.
