The girl was allegedly being blackmailed by the accused as they had made a video of her in a compromising position.

The incident came to light only on Thursday when the girl, a resident of Rajpura village (Pataudi), finally gathered the courage to report the incident at the Sadar police station.

Her trauma began in December last year when she went to a private hospital looking for a job.

There she met Manish, a cashier, who promised to help her if she met him alone.

They met on December 18 at Rajiv Chowk from where he took her to his friend’s house at Sector 47.

He asked her for sexual favours in return for getting her a job.

According to police, the girl agreed and Manish’s friend — Praveen — who was standing outside the room, made a video of the two.

Praveen, Manish and two of their friends, Rohit and Vivek, repeatedly called the victim to PG College near Basai and gang-raped her.

Kavita’s brother, a truck driver, came home after six months on Wednesday. She told him her agony after which they filed a complaint. “The medical report has confirmed rape,” the police officer said.
