The incident took place when Navi Hussan, his wife and two children were on their way to Sector 17 in Faridabad on a motorcycle.

Two buses — one belonging to a private university — were overtaking each other when the accident took place. The police said that three-year-old Faizan fell down and was crushed under the wheels of the bus.

While the boy died on the spot, his parents and the other child were critically injured and were rushed to a nearby hospital. Local residents and relatives of the victim family rushed to the spot and started protesting by shouting slogans.

As the mob swelled, the road was blocked for more than two hours. Police forces from different police stations were called in to control the situation. Both the buses were damaged by the protesters.

However, the driver of the bus managed to flee the spot.
