After Delhi, the dreaded dengue has struck Haryana, where one person has died due the disease and 33 cases have been confirmed.
Two dengue cases have also been confirmed in Chandigarh.
Two of the 11 cases that have been reported in the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) have been confirmed, an institute spokesman said, adding that results of the tests of remaining nine were awaited.
Out of the eleven patients in the PGIMER, four are from Saharanpur District in Uttar Pradesh, two each from Ludhiana in Punjab, Pinjore in Haryana and Chandigarh and one from Panchkula.
Apart from separate beds, separate units of platelet rich plasma have been arranged by the department of blood transfusion, he added.
Thirty-three confirmed cases have been reported from Haryana while no case has been reported from Punjab.
Haryana health authorities are closely monitoring the situation after confirmation of 33 cases in four districts.
