Launching a crackdown against Maharashtra Navanirman Sena, which threatened to block release of films featuring Bachchan family members in coming weeks, police on Tuesday detained 350 people affiliated to the party across the metropolis.

Preventive arrests were made across the city with close to 350 persons, Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) KL Prasad said.
The detentions came a day after the police barred MNS leader Raj Thackeray from addressing public rallies or press conferences.
