"We had received information about their movement and three of them were arrested on February five while the fourth member was arrested last evening after a brief encounter," Deputy Commissioner of Police (special cell) Ajay Kumar told reporters.

He said the four were on way to Jaipur for another contract killing.

The four were identified as Sahin Safi and Riaz Amar (both from Meerut), Mohammad Salim from Seelampur in Delhi and Wakil alias Sonu from Mauzpur, east Delhi.

Kumar said with the arrest of the four, police had managed to solve a total of 11 cases, including three murders.

Police said the four were also involved in several cases of robbery and extortion. Four revolvers and around 20 cartridges were recovered from them.
