The boy, who was miraculously saved after he remained floating for about 30 minutes, with no heartbeat and pulse was rushed to Columbia Asia Hospital in Palam Vihar where he was recuperating.

The doctors managed to revive his heartbeat and pulse but he remained critical. On Saturday, the doctors had declared him brain dead as his brain had stopped responding to the EEG tests.

According to the hospital authorities the boy died at 3.50 pm on Sunday and the police had taken his body into possession for conducting postmortem.

The Gurgaon police officials, who had booked unknown officials of Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) for negligence under section 338 of IPC, are now likely to change the sections to 304A (negligence causing death) on Monday and arrest the officials.
