5 killed, 16 injured in road accident in Udhampur

Five persons were killedand 16 others injured, seven of them seriously, when a passenger bus skidded off the road and rolled down into a gorge in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

The bus, which was on its way from Udhampur to Khor Gali, skidded off the road and rolled down into deep gorge at Dubi Gali area in the district last night, they said.

While four persons were killed on the spot, another succumbed to his injuries during treatment, they said adding, the injured have been hospitalised.
