Sixty children fell ill and were hospitalised after taking meals at a school in Sonepat on Tuesday afternoon, official sources said.

The food was served to the children of Government Primary School, located in Kalupur village, as part of the mid-day meal scheme.

Immediately after consuming food, the children complained of vomiting and stomach aches, the sources said.
They were admitted to Civil Hospital in Sonepat where their condition was described as stable.
A magisterial probe had been ordered into the incident and samples of food were seized by health officials.
