64.12 per cent pass in Kerala's higher secondary examination

A total of 2,13,786 students become eligible for higher studies of the 3,33,410 students who appeared for the Higher Secondary Examination.

A total of 2,13,786 students became eligible for higher studies of the 3,33,410 students who appeared for the Kerala Higher Secondary Examination held in March 2007, registering a pass percentage of 64.12 per cent.

Announcing the Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary Examinations results at a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram, education and culture Minister MA Baby said 2,13786 of the 3,32,689 students who wrote the exams under the new scheme, became eligible for higher studies.

In science group, the pass percentage was 68.99 per cent, in humanities 63.97 per cent, commerce 59.06 per cent, technical 65.72 per cent. In Art group, 91.1 per cent students became eligible for higher studies after scoring 'D+ grade or above.

Examinations were held in 1,608 centres in Kerala, 11 in Gulf countries, four in Mahe and eight in Lakshdweep.
