Seven criminals were detained in a combing operation by police in the wake of the July 11 serial blasts in Mumbai.

Seven criminals were detained in a combing operation by police in the wake of the July 11 serial blasts in Mumbai, police said.

The operation was conducted in Vadala-naka locality early on Wednesday, police said adding that 250 police personnel and platoons of the state reserve police force led by senior officials began the combing at 5.15 am.

Various slums and godowns in Tingulbagh, Mehboob Nagar, and Sadiq Nagar were checked, they said.

Police also recovered stolen cycles and motorcycles during the operation.
