The British Foreign Office has updated its travel advisory on India in light of the Mumbai blasts, but the overall level of the advice has not been changed.

The advisory noted the Mumbai blasts and advised British nationals: "You should exercise increased vigilance. The British Deputy High Commission in Mumbai is liasing with the local authorities to see if any British nationals have been caught up in the blasts".

Since the advisory has been updated and the overall level is not revised, the assessment is that the blasts would not amount to a major change in the situation as it prevailed before the blasts.
At least 190 people died in the series of blasts that ripped through Mumbai on Tuesday evening.
