In a bizarre incident, a woman along with her two children jumped into the Ganga canal at Haridwar on Tuesday. The two kids were washed away in the fast currents of the canal while the woman was rescued by some people.

In a separate incident, three kids were buried alive this Tuesday afternoon after a mound of earth caved in at Lal Kuan area of Nainital District, police said. All the three were playing in the area when the mishap occurred.

Two children died and three others were taken ill following a mysterious disease in Chakhuwala area last evening.
