700 MW shortfall in peak hour power in Delhi

Delhi recorded a 700 MW shortfall of power at peak time on Friday, an official statement said.

As against the demand of 3800 MW at 4.00 pm, only 3100 MW was supplied, leading to rotational load shedding of around 700 MW.

The power situation may, however, ease a bit once the 125 MW Raj Ghat Power Station starts full generation by Friday night, it added.
