Re-polling in nine booths in Odisha on Friday recorded 79% turnout, Election Commission officials said.

No untoward incident was reported during the polling, which was held from 7 am to 5 pm.

All the booths had gone for polling earlier on April 17 in the second and last phase of polling in the state.

However, the Election Commission had ordered re-polling in six booths of Niali assembly constituency in Cuttack district following reports of damaged to electronic voting machines (EVMs) and one each in Aul constituency in Kendrapara district, Telkoi and Ghasipura constituencies in Keonjhar district due to complaints of large scale rigging.
