The non-functional streetlights, dilapidated roads and stray animals are the other problems which the residents confront every day.

Ankit Rastogi, a businessman and resident of the locality, complained about the lapses on the part of NN employees. "The safai workers undertake the cleaning job only two or three times in a week that too casually. For a sincere cleaning one has to pay the service charge" he said. These workers clear the sludge accumulated in the drains only occasionally.

Upendra Vikram Singh, a student and resident of the locality laments about dilapidated roads. "The road of the locality is uneven and the potholes developed on it often resulted in accidents specially during night owing to damaged streetlights. The link lanes are never considered for repair and maintenance by the concerned authorities".

The overflowing sewer water has created a cesspool in the adjoining vacant plot which pollute the atmosphere and serves as an ideal breeding place for mosquitoes.

Another problem of the locality is the garbage littered all around the locality. "The Safai karmacharis have nothing to do with these overflowing drains, it's our concern to get the drains cleaned at our expense.

Earlier the situation was good but things have nowadays changed. Now the civic officials do not pay any heed to our repeated complaints," rued Mrs.Bennett, who is running a convent in the locality. She added, "Defunct streetlights have forced us to install extra bulbs on the exterior of our residences for the convenience".

Stray animal is a regular problem being faced by the residents. These animals sometimes turn violent and pose threat for the residents. Nayan Srivastva, a resident of the locality, criticised the NN officials for allowing stray animals in the locality. He said that these stray cattle also add to the existing garbage on the road as well as in the drains. "Encroachment by the dairy owners has made this locality a virtual hell", he lamented.
