A day after the Congress demanded a joint parliamentary committee (JPC) probe and the resignation of finance minister Arun Jaitley over the alleged irregularities in the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), the main opposition party did not raise the issue in and outside Parliament on Thursday.
However, in the evening, the party mounted a renewed attack on Jaitley in a series of tweets, echoing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) allegations that corporate boxes at Feroz Shah Kotla cricket ground were given out on lease to companies without following laid down rules.
While the Congress went all guns blazing on Wednesday with three senior leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mallikarjun Kharge and Ajay Maken addressing a joint news conference on the issue, the party stuck to the Arunachal Pradesh developments in both Houses of Parliament as well as at its daily press briefing on Thursday.
