GANGSTER SANJIV Maheshwari can reveal sensational details about the conspiracy behind BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai killing, but only if the special task force (STF) sleuths are given a free hand to interrogate him.
It does not seem possible, as Maheshwari’s links in the corridors of power will not allow the cops to force Maheshwari for revealing details about the shootout.
Jailed don and independent MLA Mukhtar Ansari too has been playing a vital role in preventing interrogation of Maheshwari as the latter cay give corroborative evidence about the role of Ansari behind the shootout.
Influence of Ansari and Maheshwari can be gauged with the fact that despite clear statement made by former SSP STF Akhil Kumar about involvement of Maheshwari in the shootout, the Ghazipur police has not made him (Maheshwari) an accused in the case yet.
The Ghazipur police had no option but to go to Delhi seeking his remand as Maheshwari himself had confessed to his involvement in the incident before the Delhi police.
During his interrogation before the Delhi police Maheshwari has revealed names of a few of the criminals who were engaged in Ghazipur shootout at the behest of Ansari. One of the shooters belongs to Lucknow, whose residence is located in the old city.

Sources in the STF revealed that the shooter was currently staying in Delhi. However, the cops did not muster courage to nab him due to influence of Ansari.
