Journalist-author Raju Parulekar – once the blogger of anti-graft activist Anna Hazare – on Saturday claimed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) members blackmailed corporate companies to obtain monetary donations.

Parulekar said he has evidence recorded in CDs to prove his claim and plans to hold a press conference on Sunday about it.

“AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal and some other prominent members of the party have been blackmailing corporates in lieu of donations,” Parulekar said and also said Kejriwal’s team had not responded to notices issued by the Allahabad High Court.

The HC notice was issued in connection with the PIL filed last year in which Parulekar claimed foreign funds were siphoned for AAP’s funding as well as Manish Sisodia’s (another AAP leader’s) NGOs.

Parulekar had in 2012 claimed to have exposed what he called “twisted lies” propagated by Anna Hazare and his team during the India Against Corruption (IAC) movement which called for a strong Lokpal. Since then, he has been viewed as a thorn for both Hazare and Kejriwal.

When he tweeted earlier about the CDs, AAP approached the EC contesting its use for any sort of publicity during elections.
