A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in Ghaziabad has decided to deliver its verdict in the murder case of Aarti on April 1. Surinder Koli, co-accused in Nithari murder cases, is the main accused in this case.
In a previous case related to the murder of Nithari victim Rimpa Halder, the CBI court had pronounced death sentence for Koli and his employer Moninder Singh Pandher, on February 13 this year.
In Aarti’s case, the CBI had filed its charge sheet against Koli stating that he lured the minor inside bungalow number D 5 in Sector 31, Noida, and attempted to rape her before killing her by strangulation. Koli had also allegedly disposed off her dead body.
The CBI charge sheet also said that Pandher had spent the night between September 25/26 in 2006, when Aarti went missing, with a call girl at Hotel Magpie in Faridabad as per his cell phone and hotel records. “So the CBI has filed a charge sheet only against Koli,” CBI public prosecutor JP Sharma said.

{{/usCountry}}“The victim’s parents, in their recorded statements, said that recoveries of murder weapon and clothes last worn by the victim were made at Koli’s instance,” Sharma said.
On the other hand, Koli’s advocate said the chain of witnesses is irrelevant. “Aarti’s parent never mentioned in their statements that Koli was the one who actually killed her,” he said.
“Koli was also asked to identify the remains of children at the anatomy department of AIIMS at Delhi before a panel on February 4, 2007. During the exhibits spread over 19 tables, Koli said that black-grey hair related to exhibit 2A related to Payal and black hair-clip in another exhibit 5 may be related to Pinki,” said Adesh.
He also brought to the court’s notice CO Dinesh Yadav’s statements that Dr Navin Chaudhary, Pandher’s neighbour and a resident of D-6 house at Nithari, was out of station during investigations. “Chaudhary’s statements could have been important but he was never contacted,” Sharma said.
