After four months in jail, Nupur Talwar — on trial for the murder of her daughter Aarushi and help Hemraj — was released on bail on Tuesday.

Following last week’s Supreme Court order granting her bail, the Ghaziabad trial court accepted two sureties of Rs. 2 lakh each and a personal bond of Rs. 2 lakh. She walked out of Dasna jail, where she’d been since April 30, at 7pm.

"The truth will prevail… our angel Aarushi is here to take us through this. I have and will always abide by the law,” Nupur said. "We plan to open a clinic in prison to help the inmates."

Husband and co-accused Rajesh Talwar said that with her release, they’d now be able to devote more time to the trial.
