ABVP Assam unit secretary Simanth Roy Choudhury said that the UPA should exert pressure on Bangladesh to check infiltration and eliminate terrorist training camps.

With large-scale infiltration from Bangladesh to Assam and West Bengal, a majority of the assembly segments in these states have been dominated by the Bangladeshis, making other Indians second class citizens, he said.

Claiming that there were three crore Bangladeshis in India and nearly 50 lakh in Assam, Choudhury said that more and more tribunals should be established under the Foreigners Act to detect, delete and deport the infiltrators.

Choudhury alleged that infiltration was not only in search of employment, but part of a calculated conspiracy hatched with the help of Pakistan agency ISI against India.

S Ganesan, Tamil Nadu ABVP secretary, claimed that nearly 50,000 Bangladeshis were in Tamil Nadu, of which about 25,000 were in Coimbatore.
