Achyut, Asha win table tennis singles titles

THE INTRA-CLUB table tennis tournament organised at Yeshwant Club concluded recently. Achyut Bajaj won the men?s singles title and Asha Verma bagged the women?s singles final.

THE INTRA-CLUB table tennis tournament organised at Yeshwant Club concluded recently. Achyut Bajaj won the men’s singles title and Asha Verma bagged the women’s singles final.

Hemant Jain and Sushil Dosi defeated Kulvinder Gill and Sunil Verma by 3-1 for the men’s doubles title. Achyut and Snigdha Khasgiwal won the mixed doubles title beating Kulvinder and Neha Verma by 2-0. Kulvinder and Devendra Jain beat Dr Diwakar Shah and Sagar Pahuja in men’s lucky doubles by 3-2 games.

Kulvinder Gill won the singles title in the above 40 years cagegory defeating Alok Rathi by 4-1. Kulvinder Gill and Alok Rathi won the above 40 doubles final. Sushil Dosi beat Hemant Jain by 3-1 games in the above 50 years category.

Raman Baheti and Sushil Dosi won the above 50 years doubles defeating Dr Nari Masand and H N Pahwa in the final. Achyut beat Aman Manawat 3-0 in the under-13 group. He again won the under-19 singles title defeating Abhishek Bhatia. Aditi Modi beat Neha Jinsiwala 3-0 in girls’ singles final.

Club chairman Manjeet Sachdeva and secretary Dilip Mehta gave away the prizes to the winners. Table Tennis Committee co-convener H N Pahwa proposed the vote of thanks.
