"I know what people want from us. Although bikinis have become progressively smaller and girls have been flaunting their bare legs on screen, it's just not enough. I think the Indian audience now wants to see actresses do topless scenes. They want full value for the money they spend," she says.

Monalisa, who pairs up with item girl Payal Rohatgi in the sex comedy Tauba Tauba, is willing to oblige. According to the bindaas babe: "If I have an attractive figure, why should I have problems showing it off? To be honest I have no qualms about uncovering the upper half of my body, but the requirement of the story should be such."

A breast-baring performance, insists Monalisa, has logic of its own. "Unnecessarily shedding your clothes just amounts to obscenity.

The newcomer has certainly made a promising start. While Payal seduces a 15-year-old in Tauba Tauba, Monalisa gets down and dirty with hero Rocky Sandhu. Insiders say she has gone the whole hog in the film - from bedroom shots to kissing scenes and wearing a bikini at the poolside, Monalisa leaves little to the imagination.

And her naked aspirations seem to be paying off. Even though Monalisa's first film is yet to release, she has already been offered another. The film is Chaahat, produced by Raj Tyagi and directed by Rajeev Ruia. Monalisa has also done an Oriya version of the Kaanta Laga album called Laage Jhakta, besides two sizzling Hindi remixes Jiya Bekarar and Zara Zara. The Kolkata beauty is determined to raise temperatures further.

"It's up to the director to use me to the maximum effect. My idea of exposure is quite simple - a film is made for the public and if the public doesn't want to see it, then who will? If an actress is not willing to expose, she might as well sit at home," she quips.
