Importantly, Rs 20 crore would be spent only on new colony Navaprayagam and Rs 10 crore on Shantipuram. The ADA has planned to spend Rs 10 crore on construction of higher income group houses while Rs 40 lakh on lower income group houses.

These proposals have been approved in the ADA’s Board meeting held at Indira Bhawan building here on Thursday evening. Rs 68 crore out of 100 crore of budget would be utilised by the ADA for development works and compensation to farmers whose lands have been acquired for housing schemes in 2006-07.

ADA has allocated Rs 50 lakh to beautify and maintain the parks situated in the city area.

However, passing of house maps has been made costlier. Citizens will bear an additional fee of Rs 500 to get their house maps passed from ADA. Out of this money, Rs 400 would go for Triveni Mahotsava and Rs 100 for sports promotion quota of ADA.

With this ADA would not realise donation for its annual festival popularly known as Triveni Mahotsava.
