"It is for the first time in the history of the country that the Prime Minister does not have the power to take decisions. Instead, they are being taken by Sonia Gandhiji at 10, Janpath as Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh got only office but not the rights," Advani said while addressing "Vijay Sankalp rally" in Dehra Dun.

Asserting that India is a democratic country where the Prime Minister should have the final word on any matter, Advani asked the people to vote for the BJP to bring about a change for the better.

Accusing the Congres and its alliance partners of being soft on terror, the BJP 's prime ministerial candidate said the UPA always kept "appeasement" above the security of the country.
