Aiming to improve its performance in Jammu and Kashmir, the Bharatiya Janata Party here is hoping that the party's prospects would receive a major boost with the senior party leader and Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani campaigning in the state on April 30.

"Advani would be campaigning for the BJP in Udhampur Lok Sabha constituency, where union minister Chaman Lal Gupta is seeking re-election for the third time, on April 30", JK BJP spokesperson, Prof Hari Om told reporters here on Wednesday.
Advani will arrive in Jammu on the morning of April 30, Om said.
He would address a public meeting in Udhampur town around 1100 hours, Om said adding that Deputy Prime Minister would later leave for border town of Hirnagar in Kathua district.
Advani would address a rally in late afternoon in Hirnagar, he said. Campaigning in Udhampur constituency as well as in Anantang Lok Sabha constituency, which goes to polls in third phase on May 5 is in full swing, Om said.
With the campaigning of Advani in Udhampur and Kathua districts of Udhampur LS constituency, party's campaign would get a major boost, he said.
