He said the people of the country will not spare the ruling Congress for its "misrule" which resulted in a reign of terrorism and corruption.

Referring to UPA's trust vote win last year, the opposition leader in Lok Sabha said, "the UPA Government was so much power hungry that it could not remain out of power for even six months and opted for cash-for-votes to purchase MPs to save its government."

Addressing an election rally in Jalalpur near Varanasi, he alleged that the country witnessed the "worst" kind of corrupt rule during the last five years and said, "we will not let the county witness another Mumbai-type of terrorist attack."

Reminding the Congress of the 1977 Lok Sabha verdict when Congress under Indira Gandhi lost power after emergency, Advani predicted a repeat of the same this year.
