The plane was diverted to Mumbai and landed under emergency conditions following a suspected hydraulic failure, they said. An Air India spokesperson said the plane made a normal landing and another aircraft was arranged to take the passengers to the destination.

"The flight made a normal landing. All the 84 passengers were transferred to another aircraft, which took off for Dubai at 2.30 pm," the spokesperson told PTI in Mumbai.

The Mumbai International Airport officials said all the passengers in the snag-hit aircraft landed safely and airport operations were normal. "Full emergency was declared at 11.45 am for the Air India flight IC 528 from Calicut to Dubai. The flight landed at 12.10 pm and full emergency was withdrawn at 12.17 pm," the spokesperson said.
