AirTel to charge local rates in 2 states, 1 UT

AirTel announced that subscribers would be charged local call rates while roaming in WB, Sikkim and the Andamans from on Wednesday.

AirTel on Tuesday announced that subscribers would be charged local call rates while roaming in West Bengal, Sikkim and the Andamans from on Wednesday.

For outgoing calls on roam, the tariff would be Rs 2 per minute, while customers would have to pay Rs 2 per minute for every incoming call.

STD charges would be Rs 3 per minute, an AirTel spokesperson said.
