Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav has asked the GDA officials to speed up major infrastructure projects in the city.

These include development of 100 acres of city forests and expediting the construction of the Northern peripheral and the Link Road connecting NH-58 with NH-24 in Ghaziabad.

“The CM has given us the go-ahead to give the city a cosmopolitan look,” GDA Vice-Chairman Santosh Kumar Yadav told Hindustan Times.
The GDA has proposed to develop a 100-acre forest area near the air force station at Hindon. The land belongs to the municipal corporation and has been identified.
