Alert in Haridwar following threat to blow up Rly station

An alert has been sounded in the pilgrim town of Haridwar after the railway officials here received a letter threatening to blow up the railway station on the occassion of Holi festival.

An alert has been sounded in the pilgrim town of Haridwar after the railway officials here received a letter threatening to blow up the railway station on the occassion of Holi festival.

"We have beefed up the security in and around Haridwar railway station after the railway officials have told us about the letter," said a police official on Tuesday.

A team of senior police officials of the district visited the railway station to review the security.
