The bodies of all 10 people killed after an air ambulance crashed in a residential colony in Faridabad have been recovered, police said on Thursday.
According to Haryana police, 10 people, including three on the ground, were killed in the crash late on Wednesday.
The air ambulance was transporting a critically ill patient from Patna in Bihar and it crashed barely minutes before it was to land.
The bodies have been taken to the Badshah Khan Hospital in Faridabad for autopsy.
"Post-mortem examination of the three women who were on the ground is complete and their bodies have been handed over to their relatives. They will be cremated later in the day. The post-mortem of remaining seven bodies is on," a police officer said.
"All bodies were badly burnt and beyond recognition. Three people also sustained burn injuries in this incident. However, they are out of danger and recuperating well in the hospital," he added.
Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh each to the kin of the three Faridabad residents who were killed in the accident.
A sum of Rs 20,000 each will be given to the three injured locals.
