Businessmen, retired people, working women, students, housewives with children in tow, academicians — all thronged the exhibition hall on Saturday, the first day of the two-day event. The footfall may not necessarily match the number of buyers, but the exhibitors are happy about the huge promotional opportunity offered by the event.

Jasmeet Arora, working with a publishing house, said: “I came here looking for an AC and a digital camera. With the wide range available, my efforts to search the net are saved.”

And what is the most sought after product? Said a representative at the Samsung stall: “People are asking for other products too but ACs are the most sought after.”

Apart from home products, digital goods, beauty care products, the exhibition also offers Real Pro (massage lounger) and game consoles like the PS3.
