Sanjay Gupta claims that all’s well with Irrfan Khan despite a report in a newspaper that the latter, upset over non-payment of dues, had refused to promote Acid Factory and had bowed out of Alibaug.
“He was at the curtain raiser at Hotel Land’s End last evening, wasn’t he?” Gupta points out. “I know where these stories are coming from but I don’t want to get into accusations and counter-accusations. It’ll only complicate things.”
This is not the first time Gupta’s White Feather Films has courted controversy over its financial dealings. He shrugs off the allegation, “We’re as good or as bad as any other production house. There are seven other actors in the film, including Danny Denzongpa, Fardeen Khan, Aftab Shivdasani and Dino Morea. None of them have any issues with us. Sometimes, delays happen, you take them in your stride.”
So, when is he planning the next Alibaug shoot? “The film is on hold right now... a fallout of the multiplex strike and the economic slowdown. I’ll need to sit down with my partner, Eros Entertainment, and figure out the logistics before we go ahead.

{{/usCountry}}On his part, Khan says that there have been no payment issues with White Feather Films. “I’m in tune with Acid Factory’s promotional plans. As for Alibaug, it is very close to Sanjay Gupta’s heart and I’m a part of it.”
It’s been two years since Gupta directed Dus Kahaniyaan and he’s eager to get back behind the camera. “I’m working on a couple of scripts and will be launching three productions shortly,” he enthuses. He’s also planning to start a family with wife Anu whom he remarried last month.
