"Even if Amar Singh decides to part ways with Mulayam Singh, the latter cannot allow him to do so as he has the key to all his (Yadav's) assets collected through corrupt means," Verma told reporters here.

Terming the developments as "shadow boxing" between Amar Singh and Mulayam Singh, Verma who had been among the founder members of the Samajwadi Party and was one time confidante of Yadav, claimed that that Singh's parting ways would be a death knell for Yadav's politics.

"During the previous government, Yadav had earned crores (of rupees) through land deals in Nodia and elsewhere and the assets thus earned are all with Amar Singh," Verma alleged, claiming that there was tension in Singh's family because of SP chief and they (family) do not like Yadav.
