Former chief minister Amarinder Singh today rushed to Delhi after Punjab Congress president Mohinder Singh Kaypee reportedly accused him of not cooperating in the smooth functioning of the party due to the latter's Dalit identity.

In an interview to a national daily Kaypee reportedly said since he was a Dalit, "Amarinder and Co is not cooperating in the smooth functioning of the party in the state".
Kaypee also questioned the justification of Amarinder's absence from party rallies and conferences against the SAD-BJP government.
The former chief minister left for the national capital apparently to offer an explanation to the party leadership following Kaypee's remarks, sources close to him said.
Singh was not available for comments despite repeated phone calls.
