Amit wins gold in badminton contest

AMIT KULKARNI of BSNL won the gold in BSNL All India Badminton Tournament held in Patna recently. Representing MP, Amit Kulkarni shocked last year winner Sudeep Bhattacharya of West Bengal by 21-17, 12-21 and 21-16 to bag gold medal for the first time.

The women too excelled in badminton. MP women’s skipper Vandana Devgirikar won the third prize in doubles. Vandana Devgirikar along with Vidhyotma Agrahari won the second place.

In the team event the women’s team won the second position, while men’s team won the third position.
