HIS CREATIVITY is digital.
A young budding artist Ajay Singh Rathore has put on display more than 20 of his works at UP State Lalit Kala Akademi. The specialty of his works is that all the works are digital.
The tools for his work are a camera, MS Paint, Abode Photoshop and a lot of creative imagination. He clicks a picture, then downloads it on the computer and uses MS Paint and Abode Photoshop to get the desired effect.
He says, “A computer provides you with canvas, paints, brushes, textures and effects. And rest is the work of imagination.”
Ajay has taken leaves as his theme and named his exhibitions as ‘Pratham’ meaning first, as this is his first exhibition. He finds this medium of expression very different and absorbing.
“A leaf evokes many emotions in me. I equate a leaf with human emotions, Nature, stages of life, relationships and different phases of the day,” says Ajay.
He has identified a leaf with different phases of life. “The way life has different stages similarly a leaf has different stages. When it is born it is soft and tender, then matures and finally reaches old age.”
He has also shown the effect when sunlight or moonlight falls on a leaf. He says, “The beauty of a leaf is worth looking at when sunlight or moonlight fall on it.” Ajay has been quite successful in capturing the effect.

{{/usCountry}}All of 25 year, Ajay pursued his BFA in Agra and tells, “I wanted to do something in art since I was in standard eighth. I wanted to mix art with computers and do something.”
Ajay’s works will be on display from Monday to Friday from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
