A noble effort indeed: An innovativestep has been taken by members of Kabir Viklang Vikas Shodh Sansthan to make the city clean and green by introducing solid waste management.
Institute secretary Krishna Chandra said that the project of solid waste management had so far been introduced in 200 homes of the city and had proved beneficial for society, as under the project solid waste products are decomposed. Some of the solid waste is converted into manure with the help of a processing plant.
He said the project would be launched in 2000 more houses of the city and would provide employment to a large number of people. He even said that from each house an amount of Rs 50 was charged and the cleaner picks the garbage from the house itself.
